Body Image & Physical Self-Care

"Body image" refers to what we think and feel about our bodies.  A useful way to improve our body image is to practice more self-care.  The more we nuture our physical bodies, the better we look and feel. 

Physical Self-Care activities might include:

       yoga                drinking water                    playing a sport               eating                     dance




There are also even some foods which are proven to increase our natural beauty. 
Blueberries, for example, improve skin clarity.  .

                                                      walnuts
                                                      green tea
                                                      advocado


Physcial activity is also an important part of self-care.  Exercise like yoga, swimming or sports, shapes our bodies and keeps them healthy.  Physical activity also triggers our natural mood boosting system.


When we take time our to practice self-care, we are also sending a powerful message to ourselves and others:  we are valuable and worth our own time.
